If you plan to cross unbridged rivers or side streams, know how to cross safely and be prepared for if you cannot cross. Do not cross if the river or stream is flooded, you cannot find safe entry and exit points or are unsure it’s safe. Turn back or wait for the river to drop. If in doubt, stay out. Get permission to access public conservation land via Rainbow Station
To access any public conservation land via the Rainbow Station, contact the farm manager on +64 021 111 6412 .
This hut isn't in a hunting area
The Paske, Rainbow, Wairau, Coldwater and Judges Valley floors are managed by Rainbow Honey and are not designated hunting areas. Hunters using this hut need to ensure they know the area boundaries for the nearby permit areas.
