About this place
Camp next to the clear waters and golden sands of Tōtaranui beach at the northern end of the Abel Tasman National Park. It's a great place to relax on the beach, swim, kayak, fish or explore native bush on one of the nearby tracks.

Fees and bookings
The DOC Campsite Pass can be used at this campsite except between 26 December to 8 February inclusive. Campsite Pass bookings must be booked online before occupying a site. If you do not book, bookings may be made by campground staff (if present) and will incur a $10 service charge. Sites may not be available if you do not book.
Bookings are open for stays up to 30 June 2027. If no availability shows online for your dates, the campsite is fully booked. No spaces are kept for campers arriving without a booking. Phone and in‑person bookings made at a visitor centre incur a $10 service fee. Same‑day bookings are available online until 8 pm if spaces remain. Book Tōtaranui Campground online . Each booking is for a single site (which is allocated on arrival) and you will need to include the full names and ages of all group members up to a limit of 6. Note there is a minimum fee per booking and we do not give refunds. Book well in advance for the peak period from 1 December - 28 February and for public holiday weekends. Your booking will be for a site, which will be allocated or selected on arrival. A maximum stay of 14 nights applies from 26 December to 8 February. The maximum stay with a camp pass (outside of these dates) is 7 nights within any 30.
