Nau mai ki Hopuni Ti/Welcome to Camp Steve! I am a traveller of old, now parked up long term as kaitiaki of a beautiful property close to the Canterbury foothills. Gypsies and budget travellers are heartily welcome to park up for short stays (1 night < 1 week) where you will be rewarded with uninterrupted views to Mt Oxford from the front of the section. Stunning night skies, lots of established trees for shade, amazing birdlife, heaps of lovely local walks (and swims), good company and relaxed vibes.....and all very handily located. Being super close to SH73 (West Coast Highway) and SH72 (Inland Scenic Route) means that Christchurch is only 45 minutes away but we are also an hour (and a bit) from Arthurs Pass and the Main Divide, 5 minutes to Waimakariri Gorge, 20 minutes to Oxford, 25 minutes to Rakaia Gorge etc. Notional charge of $10/n covers facilities - power (can hook in if needed), shower, toilet, use of woodfired barbecue and/or fire pit. Happy for all offers of koha/exchange - shared kai, music jams, creative projects, gardening, lifting and shifting....whatever you have to bring or contribute is welcome. There's always plenty to do here......but I'm very much a slo-mo tai chi kinda guy so it just happens when it happens. If you're passing by, stop in, say hi! Repeat visits welcome.
